- She tells him that Obi-Wan has told her terrible things about him.
- Anakin insists that Obi-Wan is trying to turn her against him.
- When she tries to explain that Obi-Wan knows about them and wants to help, Anakin is suspicious.
- He says that love won't save her from dying, only his new powers. Padmé wonders at what cost.
- She begs him to come away with her, but Anakin refuses. He talks of overthrowing the Emperor to rule the galaxy together, using the dark side's powers.
- This breaks Padmé's heart.
- Anakin suspects Obi-Wan has something to do with her inability to see his side of things.
- Obi-Wan reveals himself, and Anakin starts using his powers to strangle Padmé.
- She collapses, unconscious.
- Anakin accuses Obi-Wan of turning her against him.
- They exchange some heated words while circling each other, and during the course of this, Darth Vader reveals just how much he's really lost it.
- They begin to duel.
