Writing W.4.8
Recall relevant information from experiences or gather relevant information from print and digital sources; take notes and categorize information, and provide a list of sources.
You've probably heard that writers write from experience. And even though your kids don't have tons of experience to draw from, we don't doubt their ability to find something to write about. Using those experiences, along with outside information—for a simple research project—will help build their writing repertoire and increase their confidence. Introduce various sources into the classroom for your kids to write about, because they'll be doing this for the rest of their educational careers.
