- Sean's working out again. (Surprise.)
- It's taken a sinister turn, though: He's dipped into his savings account to buy steroids.
- He's taking a chance, but the truth is that steroid testing is really expensive, despite what he told Bobby. If he wins games, he's pretty sure his coach will look the other way.
- Uncle Jeff's lifting with him today, and he reminds Sean that it's Valentine's Day, then slips him a hundred bucks to buy Cara a gift.
- Sean calls Cara, who says she has to cheer that night. He tells her he has a gift for her, even though he doesn't yet.
- He goes to Zales at Meadowood Mall, where he tosses in two hundred dollars of his own to buy her a necklace with a heart-shaped diamond pendant.
- After the game, he picks her up, and she apologizes for being short with him earlier (by which she means the day Kendra was texting her about Conner).
- When he gives her the necklace and tells her he loves her, she doesn't say she loves him, too, but she kisses him.
- The way that his body would normally, er, respond to her kiss doesn't happen, and he wonders what's up with that.
