Gladiator Scene 30 Summary

  • Commodus is at his desk, flanked by several guys in togas. He's examining and signing papers of some kind.
  • Lucilla enters. He asks her why he (Maximus) is still alive, and says he shouldn't be and that he's vexed that he's alive still.
  • He justifies his previous actions, and is annoyed that he was lied to about Maximus' death (by other soldiers).
  • Lucilla suggests he not let the legions (divisions of the Roman army) go unpunished.
  • The scene ends with Commodus reflecting.
