Writing W.4.1.D

Provide a concluding statement or section related to the opinion presented.

We all need signals while we're reading. If an author is sending smoke signals, your text is on fire. If they're sending conclusive statements, then we feel aware, comfy, and safe knowing that things are about to wrap up. Most kids don't know how to use concluding statements effectively yet, but providing them with concluding statement options will offer them flexibility. Keep in mind: not every conclusion needs to start with, "In conclusion," so break those cliché bad habits early, or at least try to.
