Language L.K.1

Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking.

Nouns, verbs, adjectives: you know the deal. In fact, most young kindergartners implicitly get the gist of how English grammar works. This standard's about reinforcing the basic mechanics they've learned and tweaking their patterns to get them on paper, too. We'll save all those complicated relative clauses and derivational affixes for a later date.
