Common Core Standards

Language, Kindergarten

Language L.K.6

Use words and phrases acquired through conversations, reading and being read to, and responding to texts.

Kindergartners are known to repeat everything they hear, so this standard shouldn't be too difficult to fulfill. The important part is that these conversations and readings are happening, and that the language used hits a balance between being new to a kindergartner, but not too complicated that it can't be naturally replicated.
