- Back at the bowling alley, Donny fails to bowl a strike—the only time this happens to him in the film. This is definitely an Ominous Thing.
- The Jesus shows up, wearing a blue polyester jumpsuit and furious that Walter doesn't roll on Shabbos.
- Outside the bowling alley, The Dude, Walter, and Donny find The Dude's car in flames. The German nihilists are standing in front of it, wearing leather and holding a chainsaw and a bottle of kerosene. It's an impressive sight.
- They're pissed because they still haven't received their money. When The Dude tells them the jig is up—they never had Bunny and everyone knows it—the nihilists claim they still want the money. The Dude and Donny reach for their wallets, but Walter refuses on principle.
- This gives Walter no choice but to beat them all within an inch of their lives. What ensues is a comically violent fight scene during which Walter actually bites off a guy's ear. This is probably the most useful Walter has been in the entire film.
- When the fighting is over, Walter and The Dude discover that Donny is lying on the ground, clutching his chest. He's having a heart attack. Poor, sweet Donny.
