- Over at Maude's strange apartment, The Dude inspects a canvas on the floor, which looks like someone was making a snow angel in a giant vat of kids' fingerpaint.
- All of a sudden, a naked Maude Lebowski comes flying over him, splattering paint in a complicated-looked pulley-harness thing.
- Some of the paint lands on The Dude's face.
- She lands and explains to The Dude that she's a feminist and an artist whose work is considered "strongly vaginal."
- Maude explains that the rug The Dude stole was actually a gift from Maude Lebowski to her late mother and was therefore not the Big Lebowski's to give.
- As The Dude stands idly by, Maude proceeds to explain even more: Bunny Lebowski is a former porn star, and Jackie Treehorn is a porn industry magnate who used to employ her.
- Together, Maude Lebowski and The Dude watch one of Jackie Treehorn's lower-budget projects, Logjammin'. The film stars both Bunny Lebowski (aka Bunny La Joya) and that nihilist who was sleeping in the Big Lebowki's pool.
- Maude is not thrilled that her father has withdrawn $1 million from The Little Lebowski Urban Achievers account in order to pay Bunny's ransom.
- She doesn't think Bunny was even kidnapped in the first place and asks The Dude to retrieve the money he (supposedly) gave to the "kidnappers." If he does this, she promises, he will be entitled to 10 percent of the recovered sum.
- If your math skills are as good as The Dude's, then you might need to be reminded that this comes out to $100,000.
- The Dude agrees to the new mission, and Maude Lebowski insists he visit a doctor for the crack on the jaw she gave him.
- She writes out a name and address and promises that the doctor is "a good man, and thorough."
