Faith
- Another flashback to just after the boat left without Einar and his family. Einar's wife (and Sig's mom), Maria, says God will protect them—but Einar's not so sure.
- He only wanted the gold and he didn't plan on staying, but he comforts his wife by agreeing with her, and then he makes a bed and a fire to warm her.
- Maria's got a bad fever, and it doesn't look good. Anna and Sig rest by her side, but she's weak.
- Anna curls up next to her mom, and Maria tells her to have faith.
