Babylonian Creation Myth

Babylonian Creation Myth

Like the Norse, the Babylonians had a kind of gory creation story. The Babylonian creation myth is called the Enuma Elish, and it's found on seven clay tablets. In this myth, the sky god Marduk kills the earth goddess Tiamat. He splits her body in two and uses half to create the earth, and the other half to create the sky.
