Rosenberg and Orion (Mike Nussbaum)

Character Analysis

Rosenberg's a tiny alien with big eyes who provides not-exactly-clear clues to our heroes to tell them how to proceed.

Yep, he's basically the Yoda of Men in Black.

An Arquillian prince and the protector of a Galaxy (yes, a Galaxy), Rosenberg is disguised as a jeweler while on Earth and operates his robotic body from the control room in the head. Think E.T. crossed with a homunculus. The Bug attacks him and his companion in a restaurant and mortally wounds them both.

At the morgue, Jay discovers Rosenberg in the robotic body's head, and Rosenberg tells him, "The Galaxy is on Orion's belt," probably being enigmatic because of the language barrier and the whole dying thing. Despite the riddle-me-this nature of his final words, he gives Jay and Kay enough information to eventually find the Galaxy and stop the Bug from destroying his people.

Moral of the story: Always listen to a dying tiny alien's last words. Might help you save the universe.
