Case File: Theseus vs. Medea

Police Reports

Case Description: Complainant (Theseus) accuses Defendant (Medea) of attempted murder. Medea took shelter in Athens, marrying King Aegeus and having a son named Medus. But when Theseus arrived in Athens to claim his birthright from his father Aegeus, Medea tried to poison the young hero, fearing that Theseus would stand in the way of Medus’ claim to the throne. Recognizing the sword Theseus carried as his own, King Aegeus stopped the poisoning at the last moment.

Case Status: Case pending. Medea once again fled before she could be prosecuted.
