  • 1.1: The Bastard goes to the royal court to have King John settle a paternity suit.
  • 1.1: The Bastard admits that he's the illegitimate son of Richard I and gives up his inheritance from his adoptive father.
  • 1.1: The Bastard joins King John's posse and is knighted "Sir Richard Plantagenet" (though Shakespeare still refers to him as "the Bastard").
  • 1.1: The Bastard gives a big speech about his plans to climb up the social ladder.
  • 2.1: The Bastard goes to France with King John's army and threatens to kills his biological dad's murderer: Austria.
  • 3.1: King John tells the Bastard to gather up the English army to fight France.
  • 3.2: We find out the Bastard has killed Austria in battle.
  • 3.2: We find out the Bastard also rescued John's mom during battle.
