Character Analysis
Lord Bigot is one of the English lords who rebel against King John in the second half of the play. Like them, he is outraged at the death of young Arthur; like them, he joins forces with Louis, the Dauphin of France. Also like them, he turns against Louis when he learns of the Dauphin's plan to betray them. Like them, he swears allegiance to King John again and is with him at Swinstead at the end of the play. As you can tell, Lord Bigot is more a follower than a leader; he's not an especially significant character in the play.
