Jason Grace, of Rick Riordan's The Heroes of Olympus series, is named after our hero. He's really making the rounds.

We're pretty big fans of William Shatner here at Shmoop, so we were psyched when he landed the role of Jason (or at least his voice) on Disney's animated TV series, Hercules.

Is it just us, or is it a little weird that scientists named these companion underwater exploration machines after Jason and Medea? It's not like those two got along particularly well toward the end.
