Promises, Promises
- The treaty will be binding on both sides once ratified. It has to be ratified without alterations, or changes.
- The ratified treaty will be exchanged, or formally received, in Washington within four months of signing.
- The Plenipotentiaries formally declare their signatures.
- The signing date for the treaty is December 24th, 1814. The place: Ghent, Belgium.
