How It All Goes Down
- In this chapter, we get to see Project Mayhem's recruitment process.
- (1) They have to keep five hundred dollars cash on their persons for burial money.
- (2) They have to bring all items (and only these items) on a list, including clothes, coat, towel, cot mattress, and plastic bowl.
- (3) They have to wait outside the Paper Street house with no food or shelter for three days, while being berated by Tyler.
- Guys do it. And before they know it, the basement is full. The house is a soap factory.
- Marla comes over and can't figure out what the heck is going on. Even our narrator isn't exactly sure what the point of all this is.
