This one's easy. David Copperfield is the main character and narrator of this novel, so he is definitely our protagonist. Other important characters, including Traddles, Emily, Agnes, Dora, the Micawbers, Doctor Strong, Ham Peggotty, and Steerforth, don't come close to covering as many pages as David does.
