How It All Goes Down
Ben Day—January 3, 1985 12:02 a.m.
- Trey, Diondra, and Ben return to Diondra's house. They strip off their clothes and—because there's no way to get a cow brain stain out of leather pants once it's set—throw them into a big pile and burn it.
- Ben has to wear a pair of Diondra's sweatpants because they've accidentally burned his jeans, too.
- Trey makes fun of Ben, as usual, saying he failed to prove himself at the cow sacrifice.
- Ben is desperate to prove himself to Diondra, so he tells her they can steal some money from his mother and use that to run away.
