Character Role Analysis

Jennifer Parker/Lorraine Baines

Okay, this one's a little interesting.

On the surface, there's a clear-cut romantic character: Jennifer Parker. She's Marty's girlfriend, the one he's with at the beginning of the picture, and the one he's with at the end (heck, we find out they're even going to have kids together).

And yet, there's some definite sexual tension between Marty and the 1955 version of his mother. Lorraine can be forgiven, because she's clueless, but Marty's various trippings and stutterings are a tad unnerving.
