Determine or clarify the meaning of unknown and multiple-meaning words and phrases based on grade 2 reading and content, choosing flexibly from an array of strategies.

We'll never all of the words, and second graders are bound to come across some newbies. As long as they use their newfound skills to  get closer to the meanings of unknown words, they'll be golden on this standard.
