To give back, the rapper now known a Jay Z has created a scholarship program designed for undergrads with demonstrated financial need. On top of fulfilling basic scholarship requirements of maintaining a 2.0 GPA, Shawn Carter Scholarship recipients must also fulfill community service requirements to maintain their award.
