Glory
Glory? Yes my young Padawan, glory there is. With every funded grant proposal, you get the personal satisfaction of knowing you've helped a worthy cause (for the most part).
There isn't much in the way of awards and public recognition (see: Fame), but knock one proposal out of the park, and you'll instantly become the go-to-grant writer. Maybe someone will throw a ceremony in your honor if you've won funding for a big project. It may not be the Golden Globes or the Webbys, but it's something.
