Some architects have achieved a great deal of fame—architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright, I.M. Pei (Louvre), and Frank Gehry.
At least two-thirds of the time, you will have a leg up if your name is Frank. Most architects, however, plug along in relative obscurity. At least your kids will know who you are.
