Seriously, when it comes to Team Good Guy, Kirk occupies the same hallowed spot as the likes of Luke Skywalker.

Brash, bold, but always looking after the galaxy's best interests, Kirk has been saving everyone's bacon for so long that it's getting to be old hat. There are a lot of heroes on board the Enterprise, but if you have to ask who the protagonist is, there's just one cock-of-the-walk's name that comes to light.
