Character Analysis

Rynelf is one of the sailors on the Dawn Treader. He is the only sailor who is consistently distinguished by name throughout the novel and he's often mentioned when the narrator wants to convey the individuality of the crew members. However, he is not a fully rounded character; we don't know anything about his history, and the narrator never clues us in to what's going on in Rynelf's head.
