Gavin Elster/Judy Barton

Elster is Vertigo's master manipulator, so it's strange that Hitch gives this bad guy so little screen time. He takes advantage of Scottie's fears and wrecks poor Judy's life—all as a way to murder his wife. Of course, Judy, as his accomplice, gets our nod as another antagonist, even though she and Madeleine are Scottie's love interests.
