Whoever said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks never met Russell. He’s the Yoda to Carl’s Luke Skywalker, and not just because he’s short and squat. Russell is a roly-poly fountain of hopeful exuberance. Everyday is an adventure for him. While he doesn’t intentionally set out to mentor Carl, that’s precisely what he does; his youthful enthusiasm is infectious. Carl may guide the pair through the jungle, but Russell schools Carl on the importance of opening your heart.
