Rose Dawson (née DeWitt Bukater) (Kate Winslet and Gloria Stuart)’s Timeline and Summary

Rose starts out kind of snooty, but clearly with a zest for life that her mother and fiancé are doing their best to drain out of her.
Rose doesn't really care for her fiancé, but she's being forced into a wedding to save the family's finances. In desperation, she considers throwing herself off the back of the ship.
Fortunately, a guy named Jack sees her and helps get her back over the side.
After this incident, Rose and Jack strike up a friendship that quickly becomes romantic. Naturally, Rose's fiancé is furious and tries to sabotage their relationship.
Soon, everyone has bigger problems—the ship is about to sink.
Rose and Jack help each other through a series of ordeals to try to make it off the boat safely. However, only Rose ends up alive and rescued.
That said, Rose pays tribute to Jack by honoring her promise to him. She goes and lives a fabulous, fun-filled life, just as he had wanted her to, and she never gives up.
