- Sutter tries to swerve away, but the road's slick from the rain, so the car fishtails all over the place.
- Somehow, Sutter manages to get the car over onto the side of the road.
- Aimee hugs him, she's so glad they're not hurt, but Sutter has lost it.
- He tells her she's crazy, and that she should get as far away from him as she can.
- He walks, telling her to drive herself home, but of course she gets out, too, and yells for him to come back.
- He turns around to tell her no –
- Just in time to watch a car knocks her off the road.
- He runs back to her, in a panic, but she's mostly okay – the car just broke her arm.
- The people in the car that hit her walk over to see if she's all right.
- The guy is horrifies and apologetic, but the girl is all mad that the impact broke their side mirror.
- Aimee refuses to go to the ER. She doesn't want any trouble that might get in the way of their going to St. Louis.
- Sutter realizes he loves her – and he'll have to let her go.
