The Giver

The Giver not only passes on to Jonas the wisdom of memories, but he also guides him in how to interpret their meaning and bear their weight. He does so in an interesting, mentor sort of way, not by straight up lecturing, but by asking Jonas questions to get him to think. Clever man.
