- After this, Maniac is ready to take off.
- Don't underestimate Amanda, though. She does everything she can to convince Maniac to stay—telling him that the taunts and graffiti don't mean anything, that he needs his room, that he needs a bathroom, that he needs her books.
- Maniac takes off anyway, but much to Amanda's (and our) relief, comes back that night.
- Amanda then gets an idea that she's sure will make Maniac want to stay—if he can tackle Cobble's Knot, no one will question whether or not he belongs.
