Joseph Andrews Book 3, Chapter 5 Summary

  • After a leisurely stay, the travelers head back out.
  • Adams is still trying to play detective. He thinks Wilson had such a bad time as a youth because of his public school education. Burn.
  • Joseph totally disagrees. We think he's a little fed up with Adams's sermons.
  • As the group settles in for a nice lunch, they find a piece of gold Wilson packed for them. It's better than a note from Mom.
  • Since Wilson plans to visit Adams's parish soon, it will be a good occasion to thank him. Such a good guy, right?
