- He feels himself looking at the situation – he and Brint sitting there together – from the outside looking in. He feels like a target, like he's being interrogated.
- It's pretty neat to be able to see yourself from the outside, he thinks. (Have you ever done that in a memory?)
- This whole scene makes him forget. But he's forgotten what he's forgetting. What the stink is going on?! Don't worry, we're still supposed to be clueless.
