Falstaff

We're not saying Falstaff is a particularly appropriate "mentor" to Prince Hal, but he certainly is a guide or, father figure to the young prince. It's clear that Falstaff has taken Hal under his wing and has shown him "the ropes" of London's seedy underworld. Prince Hal, however, knows that he will eventually outgrow Falstaff and must leave the world of Eastcheap behind if he's to become king.
