Another travelling disciple of Jesus, Paul sends Epaphroditus to visit with the Philippians while he's occupied in jail. Paul calls him "my brother and co-worker and fellow solider" (Philippians 2:25). Apparently, shortly before the letter was written, Epaphroditus had just gotten over an illness that almost killed him. Luckily for Paul, he lived so Paul "would not have one sorrow after another" (Philippians 2:27). It's also lucky for Paul because Epaphroditus is the one who brings the gift from the Philippians (Philippians 4:18). Every inmate deserves his care package from home.
