Case File: King Aeetes vs. Medea

Case File: King Aeetes vs. Medea

Police Reports

Case Description: Complainant (King Aeetes) accuses Defendant (Medea) of murder. When Jason and Medea sailed away from Colchis with the Golden Fleece, Medea's father King Aeetes pursued them. To delay her father, Medea killed her brother Absyrtus, chopped him up in little pieces, and scattered his body in the sea. The King then had to stop and gather the pieces of his son to be sure the body received a proper burial.

Case Status: Case closed. Jason and Medea went to her aunt Circe, who washed them clean of the murder of Absyrtus. (Seems like they might've gotten off a little light to us.)
