How It All Goes Down
- Tobias walks into the dorm room, where Peter is drawing on maps. He can't believe how small everyone is. Chicago hardly amounts to a deep-dish pizza in the grand scheme of things.
- Peter raises questions about Tris, namely about how influential she is, and about how anyone she doesn't like, no one likes.
- Tobias goes to the atrium garden, and Cara jogs in. She lets him know that there's going to be a meeting among those "who don't want to let the Bureau get away with certain things" (33.38).
- Although he initially resists, Tobias decides to go.
- Tris is leading the meeting (naturally) and says she wants to formulate a plan to expose the government for what they really are.
- Tris asks Caleb, her much-maligned brother, to work on developing a super-duper truth serum to use on the leaders.
- Also, Christina and Tobias will try to get more info about the security systems from Reggie.
- After the meeting, Tobias asks Tris if she'll ever trust him again.
- Tris trusts him about as much as she would trust Richard Hatch on a deserted island.
- Tris and Tobias fight (again), and Tris tells Tobias that she needs some time to think... before she just walks away. She must have learned this whole walking-away technique from him.
