Ted Striker

Ted Striker is a bumbling sort of fellow with a debilitating lack of confidence and a serious "drinking problem," but he's our protagonist nonetheless. He's the hero of Airplane!; he's the guy we root for throughout the film. His evolution as a character drives the plot forward, from the anxious puddle he is at the beginning to the save-the-day guy at the end.
