Figure Analysis
A pretty minor character, Shaphan is the secretary of Josiah. He runs messages to Hilkiah for Josiah and reads him the "Book of the Law" after Hilkiah finds it. He also goes with Josiah when they ask the prophetess Huldah what they should do.
