Group of 3 (G3)

Categories: Econ, International

The world of economic discussions has a lot of groups with numbers in the name. There's the Group of 20 (G20), the Group of 8 (G8), and the Group of 77 (G77).

The Group of 3 is another example, though it has a slightly different function. It represents a trade agreement involving Colombia, Venezuela, and Mexico. The deal started in 1995 and lasted 10 years, expiring in 2005.
