Ask and answer questions about what a speaker says in order to clarify comprehension, gather additional information, or deepen understanding of a topic or issue.

Your second graders have been asking the five Ws and one H since way before kindergarten, so now's the time to ensure they're being a little more astute about 'em. Questions aren't only used to make sure you know what you know—they can also be used to add more layers to your knowledge-base. Don't stress too much over that caveat, but it's time for second graders to get deep, man.
