Odds of Hanging On
If you make it to the administrative level in the world of toll collection, you may have a fighting chance at hanging onto your job—or whatever permutation of it remains once the workers in booths are completely phased out. Anywhere below those highest-up positions, though, and the outlook gets fairly bleak fairly quickly.
So once again, we're at an impasse in answering this question; toll-taking would be one of the easier jobs to hang on to in terms of competence and requirements, it's just that there'll unlikely be a job to hang on to in the near future.
