Glory

If you define glory as ending each day knowing you helped people feel a little bit better and get around a little bit easier, there's glory aplenty. And you should take pride in the fact that your career is dedicated to healing.

Beyond personal satisfaction, there's not a ton of glory to be had, unless you happen to be the podiatrist of the pope or some oil baron, which is a different story. If true glory is what you itch for, perhaps consider another line of work, or plan on constructing a small, personal shrine in your closet at home, preferably shoe-related.
