Glory

Publishing an article in a scientific journal like Science Magazine, Journal of Soil and Water Conservation, and maybe even the Bulletin of the World Health Organization, one of the world's leading public health journals (because of your research and discoveries about potable water issues around the world), is pretty glorious.

These publications have a good circulation among a specific sector of the public: namely, scientists, kids interested in science, and your grandparents.

But, seriously. Getting published because of the painstaking research and late-into-the-night writing you've done is a type of glory in and of itself. Maybe just on the inside—yours—and not on the outside…but it sure looks good on a résumé.
