You're an IT manager, not an actor. Very few people know who you are, unless, of course, you're an SME, or subject matter expert. As an SME, you're recognized within your industry for your technical brilliance on a certain topic. You'll probably be snatched up by a big company that will hoard your knowledge and experience for itself. Occasionally, they'll farm you out to a few, select customers for a princely price.
