Power

The power, if you aren't being careful, can kill you.

Actually, there's little power to being an electrician except that you'll work with power all day long. Because this career is so specialized, the average Joe will breathlessly watch you work your magic on a circuit breaker, having no idea in the world what each of those switches is doing.

For those who want to become that guy high in the air working on utility lines (are there really any of you out there with that particular dream?), it's important to note that the guy in the little box is not an electrician. People who work on electrical power lines are called line installers. Most electricians work on the ground. Sorry to dash your dreams of working among the birds.
