Odds of Hanging On

Odds of Hanging On

The odds of hanging on are also pretty good if you can refrain from endorsing free online credit reports. The New York Times business economist columnist, Ben Stein (also of television and movie fame), was fired from the paper for violating ethical guidelines when he shot ads for an online credit report company. The company was acting dishonestly by charging customers monthly fees after they signed up to get their credit score. Credit reports are free under federal law.

Anyway, steer clear from endorsing shady companies and you should be all right. And keep away from Ben Stein. That guy is nothing but trouble.
