Working with artists and the public can put you into contact with some unstable individuals, so good security is a must. Planning can involve a lot of travel, as well, with all of its hazards. The most obvious example of this is the sad tale of promoter Bill Graham, who died in a freak helicopter accident on his way home after a show. Now, we're not trying to make a hermit of you; just make sure the car's tuned up, avoid dark alleys, and turn down any strangers who offer you candy.
